QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma/GED required
Minimum 3 years of experience teaching swim lessons
Minimum 2 years of staff supervision or management experience
Experience working in a customer-service oriented environment preferred
Water Safety Instructor, Lifeguard, or other swim-related certification preferred
Successful background check required

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES NEEDED:

Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to maintain a safe and positive learning environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
Exemplifies the following Five Character Traits: compassion, respect, responsibility, self discipline and honesty.

Work collaboratively with the Enrichment and Recreation Coordinator to support staff and foster the continued growth of the aquatics program. Represent the program positively in the community through public relations and outreach efforts. Oversee employee conduct and perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.
