POSITION OVERVIEW

Designer Deck Inc. manufactures and supplies specialized outdoor flooring tiles for roof terraces, balconies and many other applications. We are are presently seeking a skilled and experienced carpenter to work with our products and clients. Your duties would be:

  • Installation of the product in both construction and private (condo/home) environments.
  • Maintenance/Repairs of the product (under warranty)
  • Skilled/fine carpentry cutting work (complex geometry) - this is extremely important and you must be confident in your ability to work with all shapes.
  • Minor admin work - logging your work through digital apps, inventory control (scanning barcodes), processing credit card payments and proficiency with technology.
  • Travel between locations such as the GTA, Kleinburg, Oshawa, Brampton, Oakville etc. (paid extra)
  • This job is full time (but considering part-time for one of the positions), fast paced and physically demanding at times. However, extremely flexible with hours and pays great.
  • You MUST
  • have your own pick-up truck or large cube van
  • capacity van to carry material (tiles) and equipment, access to woodworking power/hand tools, a capable smart phone (to run company software apps), standard safety equipment (including hardhat, boots, vests, harness and lanyard etc.). Furthermore, it is necessary that you communicate in English and hold a valid Ontario driver’s license (G-Class).EXPERIENCE / TRAINING

Candidates that have any or all of the following training and certification, skill-sets and attributes will be strongly considered for the position (Working at Heights and WHMIS is required by law and will be your sole responsibility to bear the cost of)
