Responsibilities
  • Contributing to keeping Decommissioning and Environmental Remediation (D&ER) projects and facilities operating safely, economically, and reliably through effective OSH Program implementation.
  • Leading a group of unionized and non-unionized employees, including OSH Specialists, IH Technologists and administrative staff.
  • Identifying, defining, and applying OSH industry best practices.
  • Evaluating and managing business risks within their area of responsibility.
  • Supporting, reviewing and communicating line event and or near event investigations.
  • Providing and supporting the development of OSH goals and objectives.
  • Ensuring effective implementation of OSH requirements.
  • Reviewing business cases for staff hiring and equipment.
  • Managing the assets within D&ER OSH and supporting the vision, mission and strategic actions;
  • Ensuring effective interfaces with nuclear programs, specifically HSSE.
  • Identifying improvements, developing corrective action plans, and implementing these improvements within D&ER OSH.
  • Ensuring milestones and projects are met on time and budget (OSH).
  • Managing and supporting staff and personnel development and goal alignment, prioritizing work and coaching for effective performance.
  • Serving as liaison with applicable company compliance programs and coordinating and following up on OSH audits to ensure satisfactory compliance.
  • Ensuring all required reports are completed and submitted as required.
  • Other duties as assigned by your manager.
