JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants to provide essential support and care to individuals in various settings, including home care, assisted living, and long-term care facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those they serve. This role requires a commitment to delivering high-quality care while ensuring the safety and comfort of our clients.

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience in caregiving or personal care assistance is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation, and EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner is beneficial.
• Previous experience in critical care, long-term care, assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care settings is highly valued.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, memory care, dementia care, hospice care, geriatrics, pediatrics, or behavioral health is a plus.
• Skills in phlebotomy, basic life support (BLS), vital signs monitoring, catheter care, and aseptic technique are advantageous.
• Understanding of physiology and anatomy knowledge relevant to patient care is essential.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or special needs is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team are crucial.

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Monitor and document vital signs and changes in clients’ health status.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure compliance with medication schedules.
• Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Support clients with mobility challenges and assist with physical therapy exercises as needed.
• Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of client information.
• Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
