A team that fosters and encourages creativity, resourcefulness, promoting from within, and a work-life balance. #IITFWI **Position is on-site in Irving, TX** Job Purpose: The Deduction & Dispute Analyst will be responsible for investigating, validating, and resolving payment discrepancies. This role focuses on recovering invalid deductions, minimizing financial losses, and improving cash flow, which requires keen attention to detail. Summary of Essential Job Duties: Responsible for managing the deductions and dispute claims resolution process at a customer level. Determines validity of each deduction and dispute by identifying and thoroughly researching. Match open credits to deductions, identifying possible deduction patterns. Identify recurring deduction and/or dispute (trends) and work with appropriate parties to correct the problem. Utilize Customer Portals to research and dispute discrepancies. Process valid deductions credit memos and send out copies to customers- CC sales reps. Contact customers by email to address deduction or dispute status if no reply; repayment as needed. Review, maintain and address all inbox emails daily. Send dispute updates to mgmt., collections and/or claims team as needed. Follow-up internally and externally on deduction or dispute status within the same month; categorize/report outliers and reasoning. Interface with external/internal customers (Sales, Orders, Collections, etc.) to resolve deductions/disputes in a timely manner. Work with cross functional teams to identify root cause of deduction/chargebacks/disputes and recommend strategy for resolution. Maintain accuracy on All trackers, escalate issues to management as needed. Prepare and/or complete weekly/monthly reports for management timely. Perform other duties as assigned by management . Intermediate understanding of principles of finance, bookkeeping and accounting Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced excel Professional demeanor in dealing with vendors and customers Ability to adapt to changes and work in a fast-paced environment Excellent listening, oral and written communication skills Must demonstrate the ability to clearly and professionally express ideas to audiences of varying levels, including coworkers, supervisors and executives Organization and prioritization skills Strong attention to detail Resourceful with ability to seek and apply feedback Problem solving skills Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required Excellent decision making skills Prior experience working with Amazon and Walmart Customer Portals a plus Critical thinker by nature with great attention to detail 2-3 years experience working with researching and resolving deductions and customer claims
