Defects Estimator
We are looking for an experienced Defects Estimator in Brisbane who is interested in working with one of the leaders in the Fire Protection industry.

Role Summary
As a Defects Estimator, you will be responsible for the review and quotation of defects identified on fire systems by field technicians. You will work closely within the Brisbane-based Defects Estimation Team to ensure prompt, accurate, and comprehensive defect quotations are provided for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and review defect notifications on fire systems submitted by field technicians.
  • Accurately assess the scope of defects across various fire safety systems.
  • Prepare and issue quotations for defect rectification, in line with company pricing standards and customer requirements.
  • Utilise MS Dynamics and Field Service software for managing quotations, tracking defects, and maintaining records.
  • Liaise with field technicians for clarification and further information as required.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Defects Estimation Team to ensure consistency and accuracy in quotations.
  • Maintain detailed records of quotations and assist in tracking the status of defect jobs through to completion.
  • Provide prompt and professional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Uphold compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and company policies.

Key Requirements

  • Experience in fire systems (detection, suppression, or related safety systems) highly desirable.
  • Prior estimating, quoting, or technical assessment experience preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Dynamics and Field Service software.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimation/quotation software.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively within an established team.
