JOB DESCRIPTION

Join a dynamic team, where you’ll help shape and deliver our Business Rigour Services. From configuring policies and processes to maintaining essential templates, you’ll play a key role in driving consistent, meaningful change across the organisation.
Collaborating with experts across the Portfolio Team, you’ll champion a risk-based approach to assess and strengthen Business Rigour maturity across our delivery areas, ensuring we stay sharp, aligned, and effective.
You’ll also be instrumental in managing corporate tools and coordinating our continuous improvement backlog, helping to prioritise and allocate work that keeps us evolving. This includes updating key portfolio policies and standards to ensure they stay relevant and support the modern delivery methods used across Defence Digital.

HYBRID WORKING

Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working. This is a non-contractual arrangement where all office-based employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in office, subject to capacity and any required workplace adjustments. Requirements to attend other locations for official business, or work in another MOD office, will also count towards this level of attendance. Defence Business Services cannot respond to any questions about working arrangements. Please note that this post is a job share, working 22.5 hours per week over three days. However, working patterns are negotiable and can be discussed at interview.

Strategic Command is going through a significant transformation programme which aims to improve the way the Command conducts its business and delivers for Defence and the nation. As a consequence of this, all posts within Strategic Command Headquarters and in time the wider organisation, are/will be subject to review and potential changes as we continuously improve across the period of the transformation programme. Responsibilities

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

  • Support the Business Rigour Service Owner with ensuring the teams compliance, with Agile ceremonies and reporting, including the planning of pre-planning and end of sprint reporting.
  • Work across organisational boundaries, with guidance and mentorship, to support agenda management and act as secretariat for Defence Digital’s working groups.
  • Manage a busy shared mailbox, prioritising workload to ensure service level agreements are consistently met.
  • Advise users on Defence Digital’s processes and working practices, delivering support through email and one-to-one interactions.
  • Support the administration of corporate tools and the creation of user accounts.
  • On-boarding of personnel onto DDPT led courses.
    Your role emphasises the importance of addressing the right challenges in the most effective manner, and ensuring that the products produced, are not only comprehensible but also highly valued by users.
