JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently recruiting for a Business and Resourcing Manager to be responsible for planning and managing the execution of resource, business and administrative activities within Fixed Connectivity (FC).

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and developing a Business Support Team, fostering strong team culture through engagement, events, and development initiatives.
  • Managing key operational services including resources, IT, information and security, business resilience, events, and accommodation.
  • Delivering effective business management services to a broad range of stakeholders and providing strategic support to the leadership team.
  • Owning and maintaining the team’s business continuity and resilience plans.
  • Delivering and continuously improving information management services, ensuring optimal use of tools and systems.
  • Building and maintaining trusted relationships with stakeholders, including HOE and support teams.
  • Proactively identifying and mitigating risks within area of responsibility.

The critical nature of the role offers the opportunity for development due to exposure with senior stakeholders in the team and high-profile delivery activities.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

This role is wide ranging, fast paced, busy and pivotal to the success of the department. Therefore, we are looking for somebody with:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proof of strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Successful experience of managing a team in an operational delivery environment.
