JOB DESCRIPTION
Join Defence Digital as a Lead Data Analyst. This expert-level position requires an individual who can drive innovation in analysis and synthesis techniques whilst maintaining the highest standards of data governance and quality assurance. You will serve as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex data insights into actionable business intelligence that supports Defence Digital’s mission.
As Lead Data Analyst you will have comprehensive responsibility for data management processes, from establishing governance frameworks to implementing cutting-edge visualisation strategies. The position demands expertise in statistical methods, project management, and the ability to mentor and develop others within the analytics community. You’ll work with diverse data sources and systems, ensuring data quality and validation whilst building relationships with senior data professionals across various specialisms including data architecture, engineering, and data science.
TECHNICAL SKILLS

HYBRID WORKING
Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working. This is a non-contractual arrangement where all employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in office, subject to capacity. Requirements to attend other locations for official business, or work in another MOD office will also count towards this level of attendance. Applicants can request further information regarding how this may work in their team from the Vacancy Holder (see advert for contact details).
The post does not offer relocation expenses.
External recruits who join the MOD who are new to the Civil Service will be subject to a six-month probation period.
