The Roles: We have opportunities at the Senior Consultant level for individuals with proven engineering skills and experience in the Defence Maritime Industry to join our team in a full-time, permanent capacity. The successful candidate will be Sydney-based and will deliver specialist services to our Maritime Sustainment clients, directly supporting Navy capability We are open to a diversity of skill levels in this speciality, and while consulting experience would be great, we can help you develop those skills. Our Ideal Candidate: You are experienced in delivering systems engineering services in the Defence Maritime environment. If you have delivered these types of services in, or to, Navy, Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group (NSSG), or other Defence clients in the past, we would love to have a chat. As a Defence consultancy, we also need you to be an Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain an AGSVA Security Clearance. Required skills and attributes include: A Bachelor or equivalent level qualification in Engineering Minimum two years post graduate experience Experience working within the Defence Maritime environment An active NV1 AGSVA Security Clearance (or higher) Ability to work autonomously and solve complex problems Effective communication skills and proven ability to deliver high-quality written artefacts High emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills Having these other abilities would also be awesome (but not mandatory): Experience in delivering “Above the Line” consulting / contracting services to Defence Experience applying Systems Engineering principles in the Maritime domain Experience with engineering policy / processes Experience in supporting Maritime Sustainment projects / clients Experience in providing ILS support / management Why join Coras?
