A rapidly growing aerospace and defense supply chain management firm is conducting a confidential search for an Aerospace & Defense Supplier Specialist. This role is key to ensuring supplier performance, delivery reliability, and compliance for mission-critical defense programs. Join a company that partners directly with major primes and Tier-1 suppliers to deliver proactive supply chain oversight. Key Responsibilities Develop strong, collaborative relationships with assigned suppliers to meet customer requirements. Manage supplier Open Order Reports to minimize risk and improve delivery performance. Track and analyze delivery trends; perform root-cause analysis and drive timely corrective actions. Work with sub-tier suppliers to improve communication and establish achievable production commitments. Facilitate cross-functional communication to resolve production and delivery delays. Provide regular written updates on critical parts status and overall delivery performance. Ensure adherence to quality standards and defense-industry compliance requirements. Travel locally and regionally to supplier locations as needed. Required Qualifications U.S. citizenship required. Bachelor’s degree preferred (additional experience may substitute for education). Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience (aerospace, defense, shipbuilding, or submarine industry preferred). VantageClear Certification (or equivalent U.S. defense-industry compliance credential) required. Expertise in Supply Chain Management, Production Control, and Shop Floor Management. Strong project management abilities and independent decision-making skills. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs. Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record; ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.
