Responsibilities
  • Contact customers in the assigned queue to collect payments on pre charged-off and charged-off accounts. Strive to get the deficiency balance paid in full, settled or make mutually acceptable payment arrangements.
  • Negotiate settlement agreements in a professional manner and in compliance with department guidelines.
  • Conduct skip tracing work to locate “good contact information and assets” of assigned accounts.
  • Identify accounts that meet criteria for legal referral and obtain required account information prior to submitting referral request.
  • Consistently document reason for delinquency and update all accounts with the conversation.
  • Assist the department with incoming calls and bring accounts to a satisfactory conclusion.
  • Thoroughly work assigned queues to successfully meet or exceed individual and/or team goals for dollars collected.
  • In every aspect of job performance, comply with all federal and state laws, internal policies/procedures, and call quality standards.
  • Refer to a supervisor any accounts that require his/her authorization.
  • Maintain a professional and customer-friendly manner with each account. Display a willingness to take direction, work cooperatively with management and co-workers, and project a positive demeanor.
