THE ROLE…

We are seeking an experienced Deli Assistant to join our team at Babington House (BA11 3RW). At Soho House, a Deli Assistant plays an essential role in delivering refined, attentive, and personalised service to our members and guests. Your main responsibility is to ensure that members have an enjoyable experience whilst visiting the deli. You will deliver excellent service from initial greeting, taking orders, making recommendations and taking payments.

KEY DUTIES…

• Greet and serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Prepare hot and cold drinks to barista standards (training provided).
• Assist with food preparation, plating, and service at the deli counter.
• Clear tables, wash up, and keep dining and service areas tidy.
• Restock shelves, fridges, and displays to ensure products are always available and presented to standard.
• Handle payments and operate the till accurately.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures at all times.
• Support with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and stock checks.
• Ensuring you are asking members about any allergy of dietary requirements.
• Possess a strong understanding of the food and drink menu in order to make recommendations on pairings and any other specific member requests.
• Enquiring if the members are satisfied with food or drink and asking if they need anything else. Accommodating special requests where possible to create a positive outcome that will result in a memorable experience.
