OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. As a Deli Associate, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality food products. Your culinary skills and knowledge of food safety will ensure that our customers enjoy delicious meals in a clean and welcoming environment. This job is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday’s, shift‘s are a variety 9:30-6, 10-6, 06:30-14:30

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary setting is preferred but not essential.
• Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic maths skills for handling transactions and product measurements.
• A friendly demeanour with the ability to engage positively with customers.
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing menus or procedures within the deli department.

• Prepare and serve a variety of deli items salads, and sandwiches, adhering to food safety standards.
• Keen interest in food preparation and baked goods. Everything is homemade at the Curious Deli. If you’re a keen baker we’d love to hear from you!!
• Opportunity to learn prep experience, making our famous scotch eggs.
• Assist customers by providing recommendations and upselling additional products to enhance their dining experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the deli area, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitised and stocked.
• Handle food preparation tasks efficiently while managing time effectively to meet customer demands.
• Perform basic maths calculations for weighing and pricing deli items accurately.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the kitchen environment.
• Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
