For the Deli Caterer, this means preparing and packaging catering orders accurately and attractively, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation, and ensuring every customer interaction is handled with professionalism, efficiency, and a friendly attitude. Your Day-to-Day * Ensure that customers receive the best customer service by providing friendly, polite, and knowledgeable service * Take catering orders in person or by phone and assist customers with any questions about their orders * Prepare all catering orders in a timely fashion, ensuring fresh product and presentation meets Adams’ standards * Create and set up specialty and custom platters * Coordinate catering deliveries with the office and other departments as necessary * Work on the deli floor when necessary, including safely slicing meats and cheeses to customer specifications * Maintain full knowledge of deli products, pricing, and sale items, and ensure cases are well-stocked and rotated for freshness * Keep all areas of the department clean, organized, and sanitized, including equipment, preparation, and sales areas What you bring to the Farm * Knowledge on pricing and offers for all catering items * Willingness to learn the full operations of the Catering Department as a whole * Excellent customer service for our customer over the phone and at the counter * Ability to demonstrate and set the example for Adams’ culture and values * Willingness to work collaboratively and communicate with a team of co-workers and managers * Exhibit enthusiasm, positivity and/or knowledge about Adams’ products and quality Working Conditions * Must be at least 18 years old * Safely operate Deli slicers and other tools/equipment necessary to complete catering orders and tasks * Consistently move, adjust, and position items weighing up to 25 pounds * Ability to remain in a stationary position for duration of shift * Occasionally ascend/descend a stepstool, stepladder, and/or ladder * Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers for duration of shift * Communicate with others to exchange information * Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks including in tight and confined spaces Perks of the Job At Adams, we believe in recognizing and rewarding excellent work with competitive compensation and meaningful benefits. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $18.50 - $25.90.
