OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Chef to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. You will assist in food preparation, maintain cleanliness in the deli area, and contribute to a positive working environment.
* This is a part time role we are looking for someone who can be flexible and work early hours, we are looking for someone who can work Saturday’s, Sunday‘s and Tuesday’s . Possibility for extra hours covering holiday Etc.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting is preferred but not essential.
  • Familiarity with food safety practices is highly desirable.
  • Basic culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques will be advantageous.
  • Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • A friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills to effectively engage with customers.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve a variety of deli product’s, sandwich’s, salads ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
  • Assist customers with their selections, providing knowledgeable recommendations and upselling additional items when appropriate.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the deli counter and surrounding areas, including regular cleaning of equipment and utensils.
  • Perform basic maths calculations for portioning and pricing items accurately.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation during busy periods.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory management by reporting low stock or expired items.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations while working in the kitchen environment.
