New Market Foods in New Denver BC is looking for a full-time employee to help run and operate the day to day of our full service deli. Someone with a background in food service or the hospitality industry is a plus and we will train the right candidate. Job duties include;
- Opening/closing shifts
- Baking bread and buns
- Keeping deli counter and related coolers stocked and rotated
- Greeting and serving customers
- Slicing meats/cheese
- Making sandwiches/soup/lunch specials/dinner specials
- Prepping salads and grab and go to stock our open concept deli
- Helping to keep the deli clean and organized
The position includes a 2-month probation period. After passing you will be eligible for a staff store credit based on hours worked as well as a performance review to insure we keep your in store goals in focus. Next level training includes
- Smoking meat and cheeses
- In house made sausages and bacon
- Ordering/working closely with vendors
- Creating new and seasonal deli items
- Scheduling and food costing
- Assistant manager position
This is a great opportunity for an experienced cook to jump into a new role or a hardworking individual looking to get into the Deli world.
