We’re seeking a friendly, hands-on Deli & Farm Shop Assistant to join our busy farm shop in the heart of Somerset. This role is primarily to support our wonderful deli supervisor but also includes duties within the main Farm Shop.
We’re keen to speak to foodies who are passionate about fresh, local produce, with an enthusiasm for quality food and service. Our beautiful deli provides an array of cheeses, freshly made seasonal salads & sandwiches, home baked savory goods and delicious locally made cakes. There can often be a hustle and bustle about the deli, and so a cool head and big smile is always needed.
Customer engagement is just as important to us as the quality of our food. Our deli is located at the entrance to our farm shop, and so you’ll often be the first face our guests see. A genuine and sincere pride in providing a welcoming and friendly presence is imperative. We have a close-knit team of superstars in the Deli and Farm Shop and we’re looking to continue the trend for this position.
Your working week will vary between serving and preparing food fresh to order on our deli, to fulfilling some basic farm shop duties, and occasionally preparing deli food from the kitchen. Ideally you’ll have some form of cooking experience would be, but a passion for food is the only basic requirement we need, as training can be provided.

Farrington’s Farm is a family-run Farm Shop based at Home Farm, an idyllic 400 acre working farm in the Somerset village of Farrington Gurney. Also on site is a Café, a Playbarn (children’s soft play), an outdoor Farm Park, Chip Shop and various other independent retail units. We host a number of large-scale events throughout the year including our well-known Pumpkin Festival in October
