CHEF – 4 DAYS A WEEK AT YEALMPTON FARM SHOP CAFÉ

We have a fantastic opportunity for a hard-working and flexible individual to join our small and busy team at the Yealmpton Farm Shop Deli Kitchen.
This is a 4-day-per-week role, including a weekend day, with no split shifts and only the occasional evening for special events. It’s an ideal position for a chef who’s passionate about great food but looking for a healthier work-life balance than typical catering roles offer.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We’re looking for someone special – a chef who genuinely loves good food and is excited to cook with local and organic ingredients. You should be enthusiastic about consistently delivering great dishes, have a positive and flexible attitude, and be happy to pitch in wherever needed.

You’ll be responsible for creating delicious, simple, fresh food for our deli customers. Your tasks will include:

• Cooking breakfast and lunch dishes to order in a timely manner
• Keeping the kitchen organised, clean, and tidy at all times
• Preparing fresh salads, baking pies and pasties
• Supporting the café supervisor in developing and evolving the menu
• Managing orders and liaising with suppliers

There will be times when you’re the sole cook on shift, so being confident working independently is essential.
