Join us as a Sandwich Clerk! We are looking for an energetic, community-oriented and experienced individual to work as a Sandwich Clerk in our Chestnut Hill location. This position is part-time with an anticipated 20-29 hours per week. Flexible availability, including Some evenings and weekends, is required. If you have experience working in a team setting and a passion for great food, then we want to hear from you! Responsibilities Include Providing responsive, exceptional service to deli counter customers by answering questions, making recommendations, providing samples, and responding to requests. Observe all Weavers Way policies and procedures Recommending, slicing, weighing, packaging, and pricing meats and cheeses. Preparing special orders and party trays. Updating displays, cases, and other customer-facing areas to ensure they comply with company standards and that new items and promotions are showcased. Ensuring that work areas are ready to service customers by cleaning surfaces, equipment, and floors, removing trash, and confirming that tools are in working order. Following all food safety and sanitation procedures established by the company and other regulatory agencies. Perform other duties as assigned by the Deli Manager or Manager on Duty Cooperating with others to ensure customer satisfaction. Requirements Flexible availability, including some evenings and weekends. A commitment to the mission and goals of Weavers Way Co-op. Deli counter or food preparation experience preferred. Commercial kitchen experience, including knife skills, is preferred. Great attention to detail. Good communication and people skills. The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The ability to remain standing for extended periods of time. Be, or become upon hiring, a member in good standing of Weavers Way Co-op.
