Summerhill Market is looking for a Deli Production Team lead to join the Deli Production team at our Rosedale location.

OVERVIEW

Summerhill Market is looking for a hands-on Deli & Cheese Production Team Lead to join our team at the Rosedale location. In this role, you’ll actively participate in slicing deli meats, cutting cheeses, and preparing products in a fast-paced production environment. You’ll lead by example on the floor—ensuring top-quality product preparation, accurate order fulfillment for our retail stores, and strict adherence to food safety and quality standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in deli or cheese production; previous leadership experience is a strong asset.
  • Confident using slicers, scales, and other production equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and food safety.
  • Comfortable working in cold environments (coolers/freezers) and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid Food Handler’s Certificate required.
Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work alongside the production team, slicing deli meats, cutting cheeses, and preparing items for packaging and labeling.
  • Lead quality assurance efforts to maintain consistency, freshness, and product integrity.
  • Oversee daily production to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment for multiple retail locations.
  • Maintain proper food handling, cleanliness, and safety practices in compliance with all health regulations.
  • Provide direction and support to team members during shifts, encouraging productivity and accountability.
