JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Delivery Driver and Warehouse Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse. This position involves various tasks, including heavy lifting, driving, cleaning and effective communication with team members.

Founded by Gary Morley and Jeremy Adamberry in 2002, Asnew proudly re-upholsterers and makes new bespoke pieces of upholstered furniture, curtains and soft furnishings. Quality, Innovation and Craftsmanship is at the heart of everything we do from the materials used, workmanship and service we provide. All of our bespoke furniture is designed and upholstered in-house by our highly skilled team. Located in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, our unique set up gives customers access to our showroom, which holds an extensive library of designer fabric brands, this sits next to our workshop, where customers are able to see our talented team at work.
We are looking for an employee who will help the flow and efficiency of the business, through deliveries and general workshop tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Load and unload furniture from delivery.
  • Organise and maintain inventory within the warehouse.
  • Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Assist with the preparation of furniture for dispatch.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Drive delivery vehicles as needed for transporting goods to designated locations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse space.
  • Helping to prepare/repair furniture for reupholstery
