What You’ll Do as a Delivery Driver: · Safely operate a box truck less than 26,000 pounds. (CDL not required) · Picking up, driving, delivering and unloading per daily designated routes. · Customer service – deliver product, unload product, accept payments, record check # or other payment method on invoice, take customer complaints. · Monitor the need for maintenance or major repairs by completing the Pre & Post Trip Inspection checklist for each trip. · Maintain safe operation and clean appearance by complying with company operational policies, procedures, and standards. · Interface with shipping and receiving personnel to ensure timely deliveries, including pulling orders, receiving and putting away product. · Performing other duties as assigned. Your Qualifications: · Valid driver’s license with a safe driving history. · Must be able to obtain at DOT medical card. · Ability to pass a state Department of Transportation medical exam. · High school diploma or GED is preferred. · Some distribution supply experience preferred. · Some computer skills preferred, data entry skills a plus. · Commitment to service beyond the expectations of our customers. · Must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner. · Ability to consistently follow store policies and procedures. · Ability to read and complete instructions. · The ability to work in a fast-paced customer service-oriented environment Physical Demands / Work Environment: · Lifting: Frequent lifting over 50 pounds from ground to chest high. · Frequent squatting, bending, and twisting. · Sitting/driving for extended periods of time. · Able to read tickets and perform work listed. · Environment: Work in an environment that is not climate controlled. Temperatures range from extremely hot to extremely cold, depending on the season. · Vision (Near, distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception). · Sense of sound (Alarms, horns and motorized equipment). · PPE: Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Safety Glasses, gloves).
