ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including but are not limited to: Loading materials onto a delivery vehicle with the assistance of other personnel and mechanical devices including forklifts. Driver must frequently load his/her vehicle alone. Driving delivery vehicle to a customer jobsite. Unloading materials at the jobsite, in most circumstances, unassisted. Materials must be covered so they are protected from any inclement weather. Driver may be required to collect payment for goods if necessary. Drug-free Workplace Policy. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and other employees. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Class A or Class B New York State Commercial Drivers License. Hazardous Materials endorsement. Air Brakes endorsement. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Responsibilities

The driver is responsible for loading materials onto a delivery vehicle, driving to customer jobsites, and unloading materials. When not delivering, the driver will assist with various warehouse tasks.
