OVERVIEW

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods to our customers. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to handle heavy lifting as part of the job. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in maintaining customer satisfaction through efficient service.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is preferred.
  • Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
  • Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
  • Familiarity with local routes and geographical areas is beneficial.
  • A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and customer service is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies.
  • Load and unload goods from the vehicle, performing heavy lifting as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers to coordinate deliveries and address any issues that may arise.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including times, locations, and any discrepancies.
  • Conduct routine inspections of the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Assist in warehouse operations when not on delivery duties, including sorting and organising stock.
