Position Title: Delivery Driver (Class 1)
Location: Saanichton, BC, V8M 1Z7
Starting: $27/hour
Job Type: Full Time Permanent

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Valid Class 1 driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract.
• Previous work experience will be considered an asset.
• Tractor trailer and/or 10 ton driving experience would be considered an asset.
• Familiarity with local routes will be considered an asset.
• Willingness to work in a cold environment.
• Ability to perform physical tasks requiring lifting, carrying, and moving objects weighing 30+ lbs. safely and effectively.
• Physical fitness and stamina to sustain prolonged periods of activity, repetitive movements, and manual labor.
• Training will be provided.
• Commitment to safety standards and practices.

• Operate company vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all CVSE regulations.
• Deliver products to customers courteously and professionally.
• Ensure all paperwork is accurate, including verifying box counts and loading any last-minute orders.
• Secure loads properly and ensure they are loaded correctly.
• Collect payments from customers as required.
• Handle and organize pallets and cases during unloading at delivery sites.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections, checking warning lights, fluid levels, and pressures.
• Complete inspection logs and driver’s logs accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle’s interior and cargo area, including bi-weekly washing and vacuuming or as needed.
• Dispose of all garbage and debris from the truck cab and cargo area.
• Safely operate power jacks, pallet jacks, and trucks.
• Assist warehouse staff in maintaining clean and organized warehouse, freezer, and cooler areas.
• Additional duties as assigned.
