DELIVERY DRIVER CLASS 2 OR HIGHER - GILMOUR’S TAURANGA

Gilmours Tauranga is a leading and well-established wholesale Food & Beverage distribution company dedicated to providing top-quality products and exceptional service to our valued customers.
Our people are valuable to us, and we are looking for an experienced, reliable, and customer-focused Delivery Driver to join our dedicated team.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid New Zealand driver’s license (Class 2 or higher) with a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is favorable but not required.
  • Capable of lifting heavy boxes 20kg+ when doing deliveries, therefore being physically fit.
  • Knowledge of the delivery area, including the ability to navigate efficiently.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Client-focused approach and ability to foster good relationships with clients.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile for customer satisfaction.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving approach with initiative and enthusiasm.
  • Eligibility to work in NZ.
  • Able to pass a drug test.

Responsibilities
  • Safely drive/operate our delivery trucks.
  • Follow delivery routes and schedules to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling and care to maintain product quality.
  • Provide great customer service, building and maintaining positive relationships with our customers.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records, including invoices, proof of delivery, and relevant documentation.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient order fulfilment.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies and procedures.
  • Perform routine vehicle safety checks and report any maintenance or operational issues promptly.
