As a Delivery Driver, you'll be the face of our organization, ensuring packages and products reach our customers safely and on time. Safely operate a vehicle to transport and deliver packages to customers throughout the Des Moines area Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals and maximize efficiency Collect payments, obtain signatures, and maintain accurate delivery records Inspect vehicles daily to ensure they are in proper working condition and report any maintenance issues promptly Communicate professionally with customers, addressing inquiries and resolving delivery concerns with empathy and clarity Load and unload packages carefully, handling items with appropriate care to prevent damage Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior and exterior Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure safe driving practices Track and report delivery metrics, including mileage and delivery completion times Collaborate with the dispatch team to adapt to route changes and handle urgent deliveries when needed Represent our organization positively through courteous and professional interactions with customers and colleagues Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Minimum 2 years of documented driving history Access to a reliable, insured vehicle suitable for delivery purposes Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record Check meeting company-specific standards Excellent time management and organizational skills Strong communication and interpersonal abilities Proficiency with GPS navigation systems and basic vehicle maintenance knowledge Physical capability to lift, carry, and load packages safely Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and professional work ethic Customer service orientation with a positive, friendly attitude Ability to work independently while remaining responsive to team coordination Flexibility to adapt to changing routes and delivery schedules Resilience and problem-solving skills to handle unexpected challenges Willingness to pass a criminal background check Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
