Our mission is to drive positive environmental impact while offering convenience and cost savings to our clients. We are searching for a Delivery Driver for our Nova Scotia Facility. About the Role: Regular delivery and pick up of Friendlier inventory from customers in the Halifax region. This is a seasonal position. You will work full-time until the end of June, then be on lay-off for the summer, returning to full-time at the end of August. Reports to: Dispatcher Duties and Responsibilities: Deliveries and pick-ups of reusable containers from participating locations, while doing deliveries of new containers at the same time. Representing the Friendlier brand on all deliveries and pickups. Additional delivery/pickup support Use software while on route to track deliveries and pickups Work independently and efficiently Conduct required checks and safety procedures Work with incoming and outgoing facility team to facilitate smooth operations in logistics Qualifications: Clean driving record Familiarity with service and delivery to the Halifax area Able to take initiative and work individually. Able to work within a team environment. Able to adapt to varying responsibilities. Ability to read, write, and speak in English. Strong customer service skills; outgoing and comfortable speaking with new people regularly Professional and effective communication skills. Working Conditions: The facility can be subject to temperature fluctuations. Return containers may contain food residue, mold, pests, and odours. Physical Requirements • Strength Guidelines: Must be able to lift 30-40lb boxes, repetitively. • Motion Parameters: At times excessive stair climbing may be required. • Vision and Hearing Requirements: May be required to use a computer or tablet throughout the shift. • Psychological Demands: Must be able to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail. • Must have access to a smart phone for the duration of shifts.
