  • Manual handling and driving skills
  • Emotional resilience when working with vulnerable customers
  • Knowledge of medical equipment such as profiling beds, hoists, wheelchairs, and more
  • Understanding of infection control and inventory management
  • Familiarity with LOLER regulations and service administration
  • This role involves the daily moving and handling of heavy items. Some items can also be awkward to lift or move. The mattresses are of various weights, some in excess of 20kg minimum, and depending on contracts the role can involve the moving and handling of at least 15 mattresses a day (therefore 30 lifts).
Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

You’ll travel between sites—including customer homes—and be responsible for the delivery, installation and training of beds, mattresses and other equipment, in line with infection control policies. Whilst ensuring high standards of care and excellent customer service. The working hours for this role would be 12 hour days, 4 on, 4 off.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To install, collect and exchange equipment as required
  • Plan daily tasks for maximum efficiency
  • Cleaning any products returned to the service centre, such as hospital beds, mattresses, and spare parts from medical equipment which may be heavily soiled
  • Travel and stay away from home when required
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and customers
  • Deliver exceptional customer service
  • Handle equipment safely and follow health & safety protocols
  • Maintain van stock and complete accurate paperwork
  • Maintain Company vehicle to a high standard
  • Support additional duties as required by management
