Position Summary We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Delivery Driver to operate a 26-foot moving truck for local and regional deliveries. This role involves transporting live plants and nursery materials to customers while ensuring products arrive in excellent condition. The ideal candidate is punctual, physically capable, customer-service oriented, and comfortable handling plant materials. Key Responsibilities • Safely operate a 26-foot box/moving truck for scheduled deliveries • Load, secure, transport, and unload plants, trees, shrubs, and nursery products • Inspect vehicle daily and report maintenance needs promptly • Verify delivery orders and ensure accuracy of shipments • Communicate professionally with customers upon delivery • Collect delivery paperwork, signatures, and payments when required • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the truck • Assist with loading and general nursery tasks during downtime • Follow all DOT, traffic, and company safety regulations Requirements Qualifications Valid driver’s license (CDL not required unless specified) Clean driving record Experience driving box trucks or commercial vehicles preferred Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly and work outdoors in various weather conditions Strong time-management and organizational skills Basic knowledge of plant handling (preferred but not required) Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical Requirements Frequent lifting, bending, and standing Loading/unloading plant racks, containers, and materials Working outdoors in hot, cold, or wet conditions Schedule Typical hours: Vary depending on shipment and location Occasional seasonal overtime may be required during peak spring/fall seasons Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly wage based on experience Overtime opportunities Employee plant discounts [Health benefits, PTO, retirement plan – if applicable]
