THE OPPORTUNITY:

Nella is currently looking for a full-time Delivery Driver to join our team based out of the Mississauga location (1255 Fewster Drive).
Reporting to the Knife Service Manager, and collaborating with the Knife Service & Shipping Department, you will be responsible for delivering of orders to our customers. In particular, the Delivery Driver will load, transport and deliver orders to customers, ensuring prompt and efficient deliveries, and excellent customer service.
The ideal candidate is an experienced driver, has a positive demeanour, is reliable, and has a clean driver’s abstract. If this sounds like you, we encourage you to apply!

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Possess a “G” Class License and clean driving abstract (Driver’s License and 3-Year Uncertified Driver’s Record documentation required)
  • Previous experience as a delivery driver, or similar role (2+ years required)
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs (required)
  • Comfortable and familiar driving routes within the GTA
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude, professional appearance and is customer-service oriented (required)
  • Reliable and possesses a strong work ethic (required)
  • Strong communication skills – both verbal and written (required)
  • Effectively able to work as an independent and as part of a team (required)
  • Flexible schedule and availability – 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM or as business needs demand (required)

Responsibilities
  • Packing, delivering and transportation of goods to customers throughout the GTA, using a cube-van
  • Ensuring prompt delivery and effective customer service when making routes
  • Accurate completion of paperwork for both customer and company
  • Providing friendly and courteous communications with customers and clients
  • Executing vehicle inspections and completion of vehicle maintenance checks
  • Daily completion of MTO logs
  • Driving company vehicle in a cautious and responsible manner while adhering to all road safety regulations, the Ontario Highway Act, along with company Health and Safety procedures and/or policies
  • Maintaining the general cleanliness of company vehicle to ensure sufficient driving conditions
  • Other related job duties as required
