OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle various types of freight.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is required.
  • Proven experience in commercial driving with a clean driving record.
  • Familiarity with freight handling procedures and regulations.
  • Skills in operating forklifts and heavy equipment are preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive repair is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
    The service area is in Quebec, so French speaking candidates and anyone who would want to relocate to Quebec would be preferred. Responsibilities
  • Operate commercial trucks to transport freight to designated locations in a timely manner.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked, mileage, and fuel consumption.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations governing transportation and safety.
  • Assist with basic maintenance tasks on the truck as needed, including minor automotive repairs.
  • Operate forklifts or heavy equipment when required for loading or unloading cargo.
