JOB SUMMARY:

The role of a delivery driver is a full-time position where the successful applicant will complete delivery and pick-ups of various material using a Cube Van as well as smaller trucks. The successful applicant will be required to accurately complete required daily driver and inspection logs and obtain signoff’s from customers for the delivery of material. During periods where there are no scheduled pickups or deliveries, the Delivery Driver will work under the direct supervision of the Foreman and assist in the warehouse with general labour and cab assembly duties.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a delivery driver
• Valid G-License with a clean driver’s abstract (must be bondable)
• Knowledge of required forms (daily inspection and drivers logs)
• Knowledge of power tools considered an asset
• Warehouse/shop experience required

• Must always adhere to safe work practices and procedures as well as all other applicable health and safety laws and regulations
• Strong customer service skills are an asset as the successful applicant will regularly be in contact with vendors/suppliers and customers
• Time management skills are essential to ensure that scheduled pick-ups and deliveries are completed on time
• Accurate maintenance of logs to make sure that required information is available
