JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong understanding of freight handling, and the ability to operate heavy equipment as needed. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction through timely deliveries.

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid G driver’s licence preferred; must have a clean driving record and provide drivers abstract if requested.
• Experience in freight handling and logistics is highly desirable.
• Ability to operate forklifts and heavy equipment safely and efficiently. Can provide training if need be.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle unexpected situations on the road.
• Basic knowledge of automotive repair is a plus, enabling quick fixes during deliveries.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and customers.
• Must bring in their own safety footwear, company will provide all other required PPE.

• Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
• Load and unload freight, ensuring all items are secured properly for transport.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and logs as required by company policies.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise.
• Operate forklifts (or able to do the training) and other heavy equipment as necessary to facilitate loading and unloading processes.
