What You’ll Do as a Delivery Driver: · Safely operate a box truck less than 26,000 pounds. (CDL not required) · Picking up, driving, delivering and unloading per daily designated routes. · Customer service – deliver product, unload product, accept payments, record check # or other payment method on invoice, take customer complaints. · Monitor the need for maintenance or major repairs by completing the Pre & Post Trip Inspection checklist for each trip. · Maintain safe operation and clean appearance by complying with company operational policies, procedures, and standards. · Interface with shipping and receiving personnel to ensure timely deliveries, including pulling orders, receiving and putting away product. · Performing other duties as assigned. Your Qualifications: · Valid driver’s license with a safe driving history. · Must be able to obtain at DOT medical card. · Ability to pass a state Department of Transportation medical exam. · High school diploma or GED is preferred. · Some distribution supply experience preferred. · Some computer skills preferred, data entry skills a plus. · Commitment to service beyond the expectations of our customers. · Must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner. · Ability to consistently follow store policies and procedures. · Ability to read and complete instructions. · The ability to work in a fast-paced customer service-oriented environment Physical Demands / Work Environment: · Lifting: Frequent lifting over 50 pounds from ground to chest high. · Frequent squatting, bending, and twisting. · Sitting/driving for extended periods of time. · Able to read tickets and perform work listed. · Environment: Work in an environment that is not climate controlled. Temperatures range from extremely hot to extremely cold, depending on the season. · Vision (Near, distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception). · Sense of sound (Alarms, horns and motorized equipment). · PPE: Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Safety Glasses, gloves). Responsibilities
The Delivery Driver will safely operate a box truck (under 26,000 pounds) to execute daily designated routes involving picking up, driving, delivering, and unloading products. Responsibilities also include providing customer service, accepting payments, handling complaints, and performing pre/post-trip inspections for maintenance monitoring.
