We are looking for a Driver/Warehouse assistant at our Ashford branch.

Responsibilities will include:

• Safely operate company vehicles, adhering to all road traffic laws and regulations, while delivering goods to customer locations.
• Maintain professional conduct at all times in public, particularly when operating the company vehicle or wearing the company uniform, as you are representing the organisation.
• Wear the company uniform and safety footwear at all times, maintaining a clean and presentable appearance.
• Unload deliveries using the appropriate lifting equipment provided. Conduct visual inspections, confirm item counts, and obtain proof of delivery signatures on all delivery notes.
• Assist in preparing deliveries by picking orders from lists and loading vehicles. Ensure all products are securely and safely loaded.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy, clean, and well-maintained.
• Perform general preventative maintenance as per manufacturer guidelines and report any defects or issues promptly.
• Upon returning to the branch, correctly file all signed delivery notes in line with company procedures.
• Adhere to all company Health and Safety policies, particularly when handling heavy items.
• Warehouse and Counter duties when required.

Local area knowledge and counter balance forklift licence is beneficial.
We are interested in candidates with experience in a similar role. Candidates must possess a full valid driving licence, a positive attitude and be keen to learn and progress.
Knowledge of plumbing and heating products beneficial along with experience of working with trade and retail customers.
