We are hiring! Island Foods is growing and busier than ever. Each year we are getting busier and busier, and we would love to bring in more people to help us keep up with the fast pace requirements of the job.
The role is full time, but the applicant will work in both the warehouse and as a delivery driver.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Pick orders, stack and build pallets of product for customer deliveries.
• Help checkoff and put away incoming product.
• Help load trucks and deliver to customers in your assigned route.
• Deliver to a variety of customers in Port McNeill, Port Hardy, Port Alice, Sointula..etc.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to bend and lift, carry heavy items up to approx 50lbs
• Quick learner, attentive to detail
• Move at a steady pace to get orders picked quickly
• Must have a clean driving record;
• Air brakes is helpful, but not necessary.
• Pallet jack & Forklift training is helpful, but not necessary.
• Must have excellent communication skills, speak English and work in a professional manner.
• You need to be a team player, helpful and be able to think and problem solve.
