DELIVERY DRIVER/WAREHOUSE POSITION – PART TIME – NANAIMO

Omni Foods is looking for a versatile team player who is comfortable in duties ranging from doing deliveries in our 5-ton to assisting in the warehouse. We’re looking for someone personable who thrives in a dynamic environment and is comfortable with changing responsibilities - some days you might be driving the truck, others assisting in the warehouse.
This position will start at 32 hours per week and increase to full-time in the coming months.

WE’RE LOOKING FOR AN INDIVIDUAL WITH THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with driving a variety of vehicles including a 5-ton truck
• Valid BC Class 5 License
• Clean driving record – must provide driver’s abstract
• Forklift experience
• Handling material manually
• Bending or twisting the body
• Making repetitive motions
• Sitting
• Able to carry loads up to 50 pounds
• Versatile team player
• Customer service experience
• Familiarity with the Gas & Convenience / Grocery sector would be an asset

Omni Foods is a locally owned and operated wholesale distributor of convenience store goods located in Nanaimo, B.C. We service the majority of Vancouver Island.

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour

• Safely transporting goods to a variety of businesses
• Basic vehicle maintenance: making sure vehicle & cab are clean, reporting any maintenance needs
• Safely operating vehicles (van, car, truck) while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
• Loading and unloading items
• Assisting with warehouse picking and/or receiving during high volume times
• Positively interacting with our customers when doing deliveries
• Picking up goods at distribution centers
• Collecting payments from customers at time of delivery
• Working with office staff to ensure customer needs are met
• Operating equipment (electric pallet jack, forklift)
• Assembly of pallets for delivery
• Off-loading and receiving vendor pallets
