Shoemaker Drywall Supplies is Western Canada’s premier supplier of building materials. Our team of dedicated and hardworking individuals work together to create a rewarding and welcoming environment. Our Winnipeg location is currently looking for highly motivated and customer-focused individuals to fill the position of Delivery Helper.
Delivery Helpers are responsible for assisting with the delivery of building materials to residential and commercial job sites. Working as a team you will be required to carry, load/unload heavy materials, and provide exceptional customer service on site. This role requires physical labour while working outdoors in all weather conditions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy loads
  • Sitting for long periods of time
  • Frequent climbing up and down stairs
  • Pulling, pushing, bending and twisting movements to transfer building materials between truck and job site

Requirements:

  • Effective communication skills
  • Knowledge of basic mathematics
  • Basic hand tool skill

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver materials to the assigned area as directed by the customer while prioritizing personal safety and the safety of those around you
  • Communicate professionally with customers, co-workers, and other trades on job sites
  • Meet customers delivery standards and expectations
  • Maintain contact with dispatch and work to resolve issues as they arise
  • Prepare trucks for reloading and assist warehouse staff as needed
  • Verify load security and accuracy
  • Professionally represent of the company when interacting with employees and customers
  • Follow all regulations, company policies and procedures
