Ko mātou tēnei | This is Us This is an exciting opportunity for a Delivery Lead to join our Customer, Product & Services team. The role will focus on collaboration with key stakeholders (Customer facing business units, Operations, Customer Product & Services, Risk and Technology) to understand the problem or opportunity to hand, and agree on the desired outcomes, determine solution options, and then facilitate decision making. This is a full time, 18-month fixed term opportunity based in Auckland. This is a hybrid position with three days in the office and two days where you can work flexibly. Mō te Tūranga | About the Role We sat down with our Delivery Team Lead, who let us know the following about the role. What are the day to day tasks the person in this role will complete? Lead and manage programmes to achieve key strategic outcomes for BNZ. Lead and collaborate with business and technology domains to lead cross-functional teams in the end-to-end delivery of projects. Responsible for managing all aspects of projects including, but not limited to, business case and benefits, governance, financials, resource management, risk and issues, reporting and delivery. Develop and lead engagement programme with key stakeholder groups and teams. Work with the Product and Business Leads to ensure the team works on the right priorities based on business value and customer needs, balancing this with technical risk (what needs to be built and in what order). Manage risks and issues, determining mitigation strategies and managing 'return to green' pathways, escalating as appropriate. What is the team culture & environment like? What projects / work will the candidate be working on now and into the next year? The successful candidate will work on a key strategic programme of work called Home Lending Modernisation. A successful candidate will be able to challenge assumptions, drives delivery at pace and leads with purpose - even when the roadmap is still being built. What skills are required for this role? 5+ years demonstrated leadership capability to lead end to end enterprise delivery. 5+ years' experience in the New Zealand financial services industry, preferably banking. Strong business acumen and ability to manage budgets, forecasts, benefits, feature delivery and risks. Excellent communication skills to articulate all aspects of the delivery status at all levels of the business. Strategic thinking with demonstrated ability to deliver initiatives on time and within budget. Project lifecycle experience including delivery planning, budgeting and forecasting. Experience delivering change through agile continuous delivery techniques.
