THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Delivery Lead, to:

drive full-lifecycle delivery across two of SSE Thermal’s Operational Technology (OT) value streams:

• OT Security – supporting critical DMZ services for Flexible Generation and Energy Storage
• OT Systems – enabling secure operations of private electrical networks, control systems, and control rooms

You’ll lead cross-functional Agile teams to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable digital solutions for critical infrastructure. This role requires someone confident navigating complex delivery landscapes — balancing technical oversight, cyber compliance, and supplier coordination in a high-trust environment. Experience working in OT, energy, or industrial sectors is highly desirable, alongside strong financial and stakeholder management capabilities.

As Delivery Lead, you’ll be accountable for the end-to-end flow of value across both value streams, from planning through to in-life support.

• Own and manage delivery flow across Agile teams, ensuring consistent value delivery through facilitation, impediment resolution, and performance tracking.
• Lead financial oversight across both value streams — including budget tracking, forecasting, procurement, and receipting — in partnership with Product Owners and DTSO.
• Provide line management, mentoring and coaching support to other Delivery Managers within Thermal IT, helping to build delivery capability, ensuring consistency in delivery standards.
• Coordinate delivery across internal teams, third-party suppliers, and engineering stakeholders to meet OT risk, cyber compliance, and change governance standards.
• Support product backlog and roadmap planning to align delivery cadence with business priorities, capacity, and operational dependencies.
• Champion secure-by-design and DevSecOps principles, ensuring safe, compliant delivery and sustainable in-life operation
