About the role
The Core Tolling, Billing, and Collections team at Transurban seeks a Delivery Lead to drive complex technology solutions aligned with the Customer & Technology strategy. This role involves managing projects from discovery to implementation, leading a squad of analysts, engineers, and vendors, championing continuous improvement. The immediate focus is a compliance project to enhance data handling and minimize cyber risk. The Delivery Lead will ensure successful change management and adherence to standards.

This is a contract/contingent role until end of March 2025, based in Melbourne CBD.

Day-to-day, you will:

  • Project Delivery: Lead the delivery of integrated technology solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve strategic outcomes.
  • Team Leadership: Manage a squad of Technical Business Analysts, Software Engineers, and Test Analysts, fostering continuous improvement and enhancing velocity and quality.
  • Compliance Focus: Join a newly formed compliance project aimed at strategically positioning Transurban as a leader in handling sensitive customer and payment data. Minimize cyber risk exposure in accordance with PCI DSS Compliance.
  • Change Management: Ensure successful change delivery, management, and socialization, adhering to objectives, timelines, and budgets set by the Steering Committee and the Customer & Technology Leadership team.
  • IT Service Transition: Execute the transition to ‘Business As Usual,’ completing all documentation, processes, and compliance according to TU Standards.

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:

  • 10+ years’ experience in Delivery Management.
  • The incumbent is expected to be a lateral thinker in order to effectively challenge the current business model
  • Experience in leading Customer & Technology projects across Customer, Billing, Payments, Data Migration and Integration is preferred.
  • Demonstrated skills in leading or operating within a complex project environment integrating works across multiple teams and vendors.
  • Managing the development and production of project documentation
  • Strong decision making and influencing skills with ability to influence at all levels in the organisation
  • Ability to solve complex problems and deliver effective solutions
