Description
The Delivery Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of microwave and millimeter-wave link deployments, ensuring projects are executed on time, within scope, and to telecom-grade quality standards. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, operations, and customer delivery, working closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and telecom partners (e.g., Zain, Salam, STC) to ensure seamless rollout and operational readiness. Key Responsibilities 1. Project Delivery & Execution Lead end-to-end deployment of MW and mmWave links across multiple projects. Own delivery timelines, milestones, and resource planning. Ensure on-time, on-budget execution of all assigned deployments. Manage site readiness, installation, alignment, commissioning, and handover. 2. Field Operations Management Supervise field teams and subcontractors performing installations. Ensure adherence to installation SOPs, safety standards, and quality benchmarks. Validate proper grounding, surge protection (LPUs), and environmental compliance. Resolve on-site technical challenges during deployment. 3. Technical Oversight Ensure MW link performance meets design KPIs (throughput, latency, availability). Oversee link budget validation, LOS verification, and alignment accuracy. Support troubleshooting of issues such as: Throughput degradation Interference / alignment issues Power / PoE instability Coordinate with RF and product teams for escalations. 4. Stakeholder & Customer Management Act as the primary delivery interface with telecom operators and enterprise customers. Coordinate with partners (Zain, Salam, STC, etc.) on: Site access OAM onboarding Acceptance testing Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and mitigation plans. 5. Quality Assurance & Acceptance Ensure deployments meet telecom-grade acceptance criteria. Drive site acceptance testing (SAT) and commissioning reports. Maintain documentation including: As-built drawings Link reports Acceptance certificates 6. Planning & Scaling Contribute to scaling deployment operations for large-volume rollouts (100s–1000s of links). Improve processes, tools, and workflows for faster and more reliable delivery. Work with planning teams on network design inputs and rollout strategy. 7. Tools & Systems Utilize and support systems such as: NMS Ticketing systems (e.g., Remedy) Project tracking tools Ensure proper reporting of KPIs, alarms, and field issues. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field. 5–10+ years of experience in: Microwave (MW) or wireless network deployments Telecom infrastructure projects Proven experience managing field deployments and subcontractors. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of: Microwave and mmWave systems (6–80 GHz, especially 60 GHz is a plus) Link budgeting and RF fundamentals Installation best practices (alignment, grounding, surge protection) Familiarity with: IP networking basics (Layer 2/3, VLANs, QoS) OAM and telecom integration processes Fiber vs wireless backhaul architectures. Soft Skills Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent problem-solving and decision-making under pressure Clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Ability to operate in fast-paced startup and telco environments Preferred Qualifications Experience working with telecom operators in Saudi Arabia PMP or equivalent project management certification Experience in large-scale rollout programs.
