Responsibilities

ROLE SUMMARY:

As the Delivery Manager you will support and lead delivery of initiatives across the delivery lifecycle to ensure the delivery is on time and delivers the expected outcomes for our customers.
You will provide end to end delivery leadership, improve teams’ delivery by building and supporting our delivery culture, and providing mentoring and guidance in terms of our ways of working in line with the Workspace Product Playbook.
Alongside define, scope and lead several initiatives of medium size/complexity and will work with senior delivery and other management to ensure technical and/or business objectives are achieved. These initiatives will be within LSEG’s Workspace Platform Engineering portfolio, bridging the gap between technology and business change to deliver on the wider business strategy.
The Workspace Platform Engineering teams are currently enhancing a range of powerful Applications that help customers understand the markets and make important decisions while helping them to connect to the world’s largest verified directory of financial professionals on a platform that supports innovation in global financial services industry.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

You will be building relationships with technology peers and engineers in multiple locations, architects, other delivery managers, product managers and commercial partners in other parts of the organisation for Workspace and other key platforms.

Your key responsibilities;

  • Actively lead the development of delivery artefacts, integrated delivery plans, resource and contingency plans, ensuring they are scoped and documented and that risk management processes are followed.
  • Improve the delivery of Workspace Platform Engineering, focusing on ensuring timeliness and effective ceremonies
  • Communicate, and champion the delivery of a method of working for and with the engineering team to lead the efficient delivery of a given initiative
  • Establish positive relationships to ensure the success of the initiative
  • Effectively communicates highly complex ideas at multiple organizational levels and modifies personal approach and style to reflect changing circumstance
  • Deliver software product initiatives within the constraints of scope, time and cost to agreed levels of quality, within the organization’s delivery management framework.
  • Effectively handle delivery team challenges, builds strong partnerships, and is decisive.
  • Estimate costs, timescales and resource requirements for the successful completion of each initiative to agreed scope and constraints.
  • Lead change control gaining agreement for revisions from all internal customers.
  • Provide effective leadership to the team ensuring members are motivated and developing their skills and experience. Identifies any problems with sponsorship.
  • Partner with product sponsors and both internal and external customers to define objectives, key results and success criteria and develops status reports to update senior management on initiative progress, and gains commitments to ensure corrective actions take place if required.
  • Lead multiple workstreams and large delivery teams throughout the product lifecycle delivering results that achieve the desired commercial outcomes.
  • Understand and exhibits the Engineering Principles daily.
