You have strong geographic knowledge and an interest in logistics work.

  • You proudly maintain an entrepreneurial approach to work. You know the work needs to get done and you’ll make sure it does, even (and especially!) when you have to get creative to accomplish it.
  • You’re flexible and adaptable to logistics changes that may happen last-minute.
  • You’re a strong relationship builder who is comfortable working with diverse individuals. You have some management experience.
  • You’ve got some warehouse experience; pallet jack and/or forklift training and/or certification preferred.

  • Able to lift 25 - 50lb repeatedly. Able to push and pull wheeled racks. A vehicle and valid driver’s license would be an asset.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write French is not required but would be an asset.
  • You can work a consistent Sunday to Thursday schedule, including holidays, and are happy to take Fridays and Saturdays as your regular days off
Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • You’ll hire and train drivers for your region. You’ll ensure they meet performance standards and will follow up with additional training or discipline as needed. You’ll manage both employee and independent contractor delivery drivers.
  • You’ll lead warehouse operations including unloading, storage, and shipping of finished orders. You’ll ensure the team you manage is engaging in safe warehouse practices.
  • You will be scheduling, routing and assigning routes to drivers on a weekly basis.
  • As the main go-to person for deliveries in your region, you’ll be performing dispatch duties to support drivers while they are on delivery routes.
  • You will ensure all deliveries are completed successfully, which will sometimes involve arranging meetups between drivers, re-delivering failed orders at the end of your workday, asking drivers to go back to previous addresses to correct their mistakes, etc.
  • You’ll be responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly, and food-safe work environment.
  • Throughout your work, it’ll be pivotal that you communicate effectively with stakeholders and relay critical information to applicable departments in a timely and strategic manner.
  • You’ll be accountable for KPIs including cost per delivery, on-time, driver retention, and customer review score.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO IS A NATURAL MULTI-TASKER WITH A COLLABORATIVE, POSITIVE APPROACH TO WORK AND A FOCUS ON CONTINUALLY BUILDING ON THEIR SKILLS. THEY ARE EXCITED TO TAKE OWNERSHIP OVER A GEOGRAPHIC AREA, ENSURING THAT DELIVERIES ARE SUCCESSFUL THROUGH TAKING INITIATIVE AND COMMUNICATING CLEARLY. THIS ROLE IS KEY IN ENSURING CUSTOMERS RECEIVE THEIR DELIVERIES ON TIME AND IN FULL, AND THAT THE EXPERIENCES THEY HAVE WITH FRESH PREP’S REPRESENTATIVES - OUR DELIVERY DRIVERS - ARE POSITIVE AND INDICATIVE OF OUR BRAND VALUES.
