Description
We’re seeking an experienced HR professional to join our Brisbane team as a People & Culture Delivery Partner. This role manages the full employee lifecycle for a predominantly blue-collar workforce, supporting multiple departments including Health &Education, Defence, and Government and Integrated Facilities Management. Reporting to Hr Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services. Please note that this is a 12 month contract role. What You’ll Do This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including: Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring a positive experience for all team members. Partner with leaders across H&E, Defence, and GIFM to deliver people programs and drive workforce engagement. Lead and support cyclical HR events such as performance reviews, remuneration cycles, and talent management. Provide expert advice and coaching to managers on employee relations, industrial relations, and HR best practices. Drive and deliver People & Culture projects, including change management, business improvement, and engagement initiatives. Ensure compliance with employment legislation, awards, enterprise agreements, and Downer’s Zero Harm and safety standards. What You’ll Bring Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related discipline (essential). Extensive HR generalist experience, ideally within a blue-collar or industrial environment. Demonstrated ability to manage the full employee lifecycle and deliver HR projects and annual cycle events. Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment legislation (including the Fair Work Act). Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Analytical mindset with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS/payroll systems.
