Description

This position is responsible for providing superior employee and customer service while implementing the delivery and installation procedures at CHC. The successful individual communicates effectively with salespeople and the delivery team to assure every customer is met with the highest quality delivery experience possible. The delivery/installation of home appliances, furniture and warehouse organization will be the primary roles. On occasion the position will be responsible for floor moves and merchandising at the discretion of our design team.

NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Ability to communicate professionally with customers and fellow employees in a courteous manner under stressful circumstances.
  • Ability to foresee potential issues and bring resolutions.
  • Strong self-starter ability, desire to work independently and finish tasks.
  • Develop a good competency with a 20’ delivery truck and trailer, 26’ straight truck, squeeze lift, forklift, pick-up trucks with trailers, dump trailers and a 16’ flatbed trailer.
  • Lifting: Regularly – 75 lbs. Occasionally – 150 lbs. using tools Rarely – 350 lbs. using tools. Ranges and refrigerators can weigh up to 500 lbs.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Drivers license required
  • One year delivery/warehouse experience preferred.
  • One year forklift experience is required.

Responsibilities
  • Basic understanding of Cullen’s Home Center products and services with a willingness to grow. Receive and maintain CHC product in a safe, orderly and professional manner. Develop and follow professional warehouse policies. Delivery and installation of home appliances. Unpackage and stage merchandise. Ensure each employee/customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment which includes maintaining communication. Ensure follow-up on all customer issues or complaints. (55%)
  • Act as back-up to the Delivery/Warehouse Lead with receipt and organization of merchandise. Work alongside the Building Managers to accept and deliver product to the warehouse and job-sites, act as a job-site assistant. (20%)
  • Deliver product to job sites with the utmost care and consideration . (15%).
  • Follow-through with customer concerns, complaints or damages with proper channels to ensure superior customer service and procedural guidelines are met. (10%)
