Description POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Risk Management and Support Services Manager, Delta Force Staff are responsible for supporting the needs of a variety of departments that serve our guests. Delta Force Staff require the knowledge and willingness to work in all assigned areas, as determined daily by guest needs and staffing levels. *This position will have the Events Production Department as their home department* SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: N/A ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Fulfills the needs of departments, as needed, to include: Support Services: Provides transportation for staff to local shops; Albany Train Station, Bus Station and/or Airport. Food Services: Performs all duties, as assigned, including food preparation, meal service, or support of catered events. Hospitality Services: Works with the team to prepare rooms for incoming guests on changeover days . Events Production: Works with the team to prepare meeting spaces for weddings, banquets, meetings and retreats.. Guest Services: Assists with guest check-in on heavy guest arrival days. Program: Supports the team by providing open hours, facilitating needs of conferences, and providing or the needs of special programs. Maintenance: Assists with maintenance projects, snow removal, and care of the grounds. Youth & Teen: Assists with coverage as needed at Ticonderoga Teen Center and Ticonderoga ELC. Helps facilitate activities with attendees in both locations. Retail Services: Assists, as requested, from scooping ice cream to handling cash transactions through the POS system. Performs other duties, as requested. As a 24-hour operation, all staff may be asked to work weekends, evenings, night shifts, and/or holidays in order to serve members, guests, and program participants. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent is required. A Valid drivers license is required. Ability to be trained in various positions in different departments to support the operation. Ability to work various schedules; may be assigned to multiple departments on a daily basis. Strong customer service and communication skills are needed. Ability to problem-solve; attention to detail is essential. Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse groups of people, including staff, peers, children, volunteers, and parents who represent all social and economic segments of the community. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires the ability to walk, pull, push, sit, bend, reach, kneel or stand for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to work outdoors for prolonged periods of time in a variety of weather conditions. Must be able to work in excessive heat and cold, as required in association with the kitchen environment. Other physical requirements may include ability to traverse the various athletic grounds and facilities on the campus. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
Responsibilities
