Job Purpose:
RWS has recently executed a transformation program to migrate from its legacy HR and a finance system onto the D365 Dynamics ERP ecosystem. This role sits in the Enterprise Platforms team. We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Demand and Release Manager to oversee the planning and management of key HR and Finance Change and Fix deliverables in D365. This role involves managing demand and prioritization in collaboration with the Directors of HR IT and Finance IT. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the backlog of bugs, change requests (CRs), and other deliverables across D365, ensuring they are planned against available resources for development and testing, and prioritized according to business needs. They would also consult and liaise with the wider business on enterprise change activity and how this would be managed in the D365 landscape. Further roll out of D365 is planned across the business in the coming months and years.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in managing maintenance releases and demand management.
  • Strong understanding of D365 and its functionalities across HR and/or Finance modules.
  • Knowledge of LCS, Azure Portal, Azure DevOPS and ideally Power Platform.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Demand Management:

  • Develop and maintain a demand management function to plan against available resources.
  • Collaborate with Directors of HR IT and Finance IT to manage and plan demand and prioritization.
  • Create a demand planning mechanism and lead on regular meetings to enable that process.
  • Oversee the backlog of bugs, CRs, and other deliverables impacting D365.
  • Ensure deliverables are prioritized based on business needs.
  • Manage artifacts and their lifecycle in ADO to facilitate the processes across Demand management.
  • Provide reports, KPI’s and communications to show how we are doing.

Release Management:

  • Manage and coordinate maintenance releases in D365.
  • Work closely with development and testing teams to allocate resources effectively.
  • Work with Change Management /CAB to follow existing governance processes.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of maintenance releases.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with maintenance releases.
  • Continuously improve processes related to release management.
  • Where required, provide support to Director, Releases and Environments on LCS, Power Platform and Azure.
